Regan Russell was a 65-year-old Canadian activist who had been advocating for justice for other animals for more than 40 years.
On the morning of June 19, 2020, she was outside Fearmans slaughterhouse in Burlington, Ontario for a special vigil to give water to thirsty, dehydrated pigs in transport trucks, and protest Ontario's new "ag-gag" law Bill 156 which had passed just two days prior.
Regan was standing at the entrance to the slaughterhouse when a pig transport truck drove right into her and dragged her body for more than 50 feet.
This documentary, created by Varun Virlan from Liberation Hour Radio, showcases Regan's young life, her involvement in animal rights, her last day of activism, and the aftermath of her death. It is a special tribute to Regan who was killed for defending the animals she truly cared about.
